Built in 1907, the Swine Barn has seen many Iowa State Fairs, and with your help, it will see many more. The 185,000-square foot building is known for its arched brick entries and open, sprawling architecture. The barn houses 808 swine pens with seating for 800 persons, spanning over more than four acres. The structure has naturally deteriorated over time, and a much deserved facelift has finally begun.
