The Administration Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds was renovated and completed in time for the 1998 Iowa State Fair. Deere and Company contributions assisted in this $1.8 million project.

Renovations included repairing the facility’s foundation, replacing the famous front porch and updating the interior. The original fountain still stands in the main lobby.

The modern office building houses offices for special events, competitive events, marketing, the IT department and admissions.
