Located just south of the Grandstand, Legacy Terrace is a popular spot to take a few minutes to relax, and the perfect place to leave a legacy. This 2003 addition to the Fairgrounds has provided more shade, seating and created a scenic-setting for Fair-goers to enjoy along the Grand Concourse.

The semi-circle landscape features arching fountains, and “Restoration”-style benches offer a comfortable seat for a few minutes of respite, shaded by young oak trees that add to the park-like atmosphere.

Bollards, or three-foot tall pathway lights, illuminate the sidewalk areas and personalized granite pavers located along the central path. In addition, limestone blocks are interspersed among the benches, providing another opportunity for Fair-goers to permanently display their memories.

Leave your personal legacy as an inscription in Legacy Terrace:

- For a contribution of $1,500, a cast-bronze plaque will be fixed to the base of a tree. To take advantage of this opportunity, please use our secure online order form.

The deadline to have your Legacy Terrace tree or granite paver in place for the Iowa State Fair is March 31.
