Hot Weather, New Experiences

I have been part of the Blue Ribbon Foundation staff for a little more than four months now and I have had a wide array of experiences… and it isn’t even Fair yet! The Corndog Kickoff, Iowan of the Day planning and…laying bricks?  Yesterday, the Blue Ribbon Foundation staff arrived early in attempt to avoid the heat and lay memorial bricks around the Fairgrounds.  It was hard work, but the interns and I were very proud once the last brick was done!  Don’t forget to look down once in a while as you are walking on the Fairgrounds, Brick by Brick is just one of the unique giving programs at the Blue Ribbon Foundation.

The Pavilion is just one of the locations on the Fairgrounds where memorial bricks are placed!
