Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

I’ve had another great week of work! Not too many exciting things have happened, I have just been plugging away on the Iowan of the Day and Corndog Kickoff work. The deadline to donate for the kickoff is May 20, and the deadline for Iowan of the Day nominations is July 1. It’s hard to believe I have been working part-time at the Fair for almost two months now, because it sure hasn’t felt that long. I guess what people say is true, “time flies when you are having fun!” That is definitely a good way to sum up this internship. It can be a lot of work, but it sure is fun! I think my favorite thing, so far, about working here is the atmosphere. Everyone I’ve met is so nice and genuinely loves the Iowa State Fair. It makes coming to work much easier when I am surrounded by people who are just as excited about their work as I am. Starting next week there will be even more excitement in the office as one of the other interns will be joining me. It has been great being able to come into the office these past few months in order to get a jump start on some of my work, but it has gotten a little bit lonely. It will be a nice change of pace to have another friendly face in the office.
