While I am not the most artistic person in the world, I still like to try my hand at painting every once in a while! Regardless of my skill level, I have never not had fun while painting, especially when I am doing it with family and friends. Therefore, if you are in need for some extra fun, you are in luck! This year we are offering painting classes at the Iowa State Fair!
We have partnered with Painting with a Twist to host painting classes in the mornings and afternoons of several Iowa State Fair days. Held in the Oman Family Youth Inn, these painting classes will make a great break from the heat. Each participant who registers will receive 2 hours of instruction, all supplies needed, and their painting that they get to take home with them.
Attending a painting class at the State Fair is made extra special with the canvas designs being Fair-themed. These include a camper, cows, an Iowa sunset, flowers, and more. Be sure to get a group of your family and friends together to enjoy this special Fair activity! You can see the specific canvas designs below.
Another bonus to your participation in these classes is that a portion of the funds raised will go towards renovation projects on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. What is better way to give back to the Fair, but through a fun day of painting? We appreciate the generosity of all those who give and allow us to improve the Fairgrounds so Fairgoers can continue to enjoy it year after year.
