What's New at the Fairgrounds?

Happy Monday! As we begin a new week, I’d like to share what’s new at the Fairgrounds this year. The maintenance team has been hard at work completing renovations and preparing for the 2024 Fair. Last week, we took a drive around the grounds to see how everything is coming along.

Brand new restrooms are being built at the Campgrounds by Gate 4.

The Sheep Barn is in its second phase of renovations, scheduled to be completed by Fair time. Check out the recently refurbished entrances!

The Agriculture Building will also have a new look. The south and west doors have been replaced, and the ramp on the east side of the building is being rebuilt as well.

You will see several new water bottle filling stations, making a convenient and environmentally friendly way to stay hydrated on those hot August days.

Stay tuned, as there are constantly new updates and improvements happening at the Fairgrounds. There are less than 60 days until the Fair – time is flying by! We are so excited for you all to fill the grounds and experience the great Iowa State Fair with these new additions and more.

Thank you to all who have helped make these renovations possible. It is because of your generosity and support that these updates can be made and enjoyed by all Fairgoers. If you’d like to learn more about past renovations or ways to support future updates, visit our website!
