Hi Fairgoers!
My name is Grace Benson, and I have the privilege of serving as the Blue Ribbon Foundation Public Relations Intern this summer. In the fall, I will be a senior at Central College. I am studying English, Spanish and Religious Studies and plan to attend law school after I graduate. I just returned from a ten-day school trip to Athens, Greece, and with summer officially underway, I am actively studying for the LSAT so I can begin applying to law schools soon. These are all exciting things, but I know summer can only get better with the Fair only a few months away!
Growing up in Newton, Iowa, I was fortunate to always have the Fair nearby. The cheese curds are a highlight for me every year, but I look forward to the concerts more than anything. I have seen Little Big Town, For King & Country and The Chicks all at the Grandstand over the years! I hope to attend either the Megan Moroney or Parker McCollum concert this summer.
Above all, I look forward to growing both personally and professionally through my internship experience this summer. I have already seen firsthand the passion that fuels the Blue Ribbon Foundation, and I hope to apply the same level of dedication to my future work as a lawyer. I can’t wait to explore the “Fair Sweet Fair” from this exciting new angle!
