Ever since I was little, food has always been one of my favorite parts of the Fair. I remember walking around in my little pink crocs, carrying a turkey leg the size of my head!
Many of you have probably seen that the Fair has posted this year’s list of new foods. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to try everything fried or on a stick in only 22 short days.
One item that caught my eye was the Bacon Chicken Ranch Eggroll. It’s an eggroll from Winn & Sara’s Kitchen that’s packed with chicken, bacon, white cheddar and their famous ranch.
Also be sure to check out the new Blue Ribbon Bar & Eatery! Our staff was able to eat there during the National Junior High Rodeo. That smashburger is dangerous. It has mac n cheese, apple smoked bacon, and raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce.
I also enjoyed sampling Fair food at the Corndog Kickoff this past Saturday. I loved the Iowa Twinkie, caramel apples, and the BBQ mac n cheese! Thank you to all the concessionaires that donated to the event. It was a huge success!
