Corndog Kickoff Auction
The Corndog Kickoff auction is known for combining some of the best parts of the State Fair and Iowa into silent and live auction packages. You can bid on sculpting the Butter Cow’s tail or backstage passes for Grandstand shows. As we gear up for the annual Corndog Kickoff on Saturday, July 11, we need your help!
- What restaurants do you frequent? Would the chef host dinner for 8 at the restaurant?
- Are you on the board of a local entertainment venue? Could you get a behind-the-scenes tour?
- So you have season tickets? Could you offer up a pair or two?
- What hobbies do you have that might make a good item? A beer-making class? A gourmet cooking class? A sketch of the donor’s home?
- Who do you know that’s interesting to hang out with? Can you offer a morning in the Mayor’s office? Dinner with a local newscaster?
- What access do you have to special experiences? An afternoon on your boat? Two hours on your private plane? Chance to play hoops with a team member?
Donating an auction package consisting of a product or service you provide is an excellent way to promote your company. Do you have an auction package idea? Or know someone who might support the auction? Let us know!
Just a reminder - proceeds from the auction help preserve and improve the buildings, barns, and public spaces that generations of Fairgoers cherish. Your donation plays a direct role in ensuring the Fairgrounds remain a vibrant gathering place for years to come.
