The Blue Ribbon Foundation is counting down the days until the Corndog Kickoff Benefit Auction and Fair Food Grazing Party, our largest fundraising event of the year. The Corndog Kickoff helps raise critical funds for improvements and preservation efforts across the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds.
This year’s “American Classic” themed Corndog Kickoff will take place on July 11 in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and will celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Following the incredible success of last year’s debut, we are excited to bring back the second annual classic bake sale as part of the festivities.
We are currently accepting donations of baked goods and sweet treats to help make this event a success. From cookies and brownies to pies, bars, and other classic American favorites, we encourage everyone to get creative and help us offer guests a delicious variety of homemade treats while supporting the Foundation’s mission of renovating and preserving the historic Iowa State Fairgrounds.
If you would like to donate an item to the bake sale, please contact Emma Deppe at 515-262-3111 Ext. 378 or PublicRelations@BlueRibbonFoundation.org for more information. Items must be dropped off at the Varied Industries Building by Friday, July 10, or the morning of July 11. While there are no specific presentation guidelines, we kindly ask that all donated items do not require refrigeration.
Your participation in the Corndog Kickoff bake sale will help ensure that the Iowa State Fairgrounds continue to be a place where traditions are celebrated, memories are made, and “American Classics” live on for generations to come!
