The Blue Ribbon Foundation, in partnership with Cookies Food Products, is proud to accept nominations for the 2026 Iowan of the Day Award—a cherished Iowa State Fair tradition celebrating the remarkable individuals who make our state stronger every day.
This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding Iowans who demonstrate integrity, dependability, leadership, and a commitment to serving others. Whether they volunteer in their community, support local organizations, or simply make a positive impact on those around them, we want to hear their story!
Each Iowan of the Day honoree will receive:
- $200 cash award
- Hotel accommodations at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown
- Four Iowa State Fair admission tickets
- Four Grandstand show tickets for the evening of their recognition day
- Exclusive use of the Iowan of the Day golf cart
- Special recognition and award presentation on the Anne & Bill Riley Stage
- VIP parking at the Iowa State Fair

Nomination forms and additional information are available online. All nominations must be postmarked by July 1, 2026, and nominees must currently reside in Iowa.
