Hey Fairgoers! Happy Thursday! We're just 21 days away from the 2026 Iowa State Fair!
One thing I am looking forward to this year is the Blue Ribbon Foundation BINGO tent. There will be local personalities from across Iowa serving as your “Celebrity” BINGO callers. I've had the chance to connect with them while planning this event, and I can't wait to see them bring the energy and a little friendly competition.
Here's how the event works:
On August 19 and 20, from 9 am to 7 pm, you can stop by the Blue Ribbon Foundation BINGO tent, located just off of Grand Avenue, across from the Service Center. BINGO cards are just $1 each, and you can purchase as many as you would like. Every time someone wins a round, half the proceeds go directly to that winner, while the other half supports the Blue Ribbon Foundation and our mission.
Events like these mean so much to us for a couple of reasons. First and most importantly, they give us an opportunity to connect with the people who make our work possible...YOU! The Blue Ribbon Foundation wouldn't exist without the support of Fairgoers, donors, volunteers, and more. We love creating opportunities to give back, have fun, and build relationships with the people who believe in preserving the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
Just as importantly, every dollar we make makes a difference. Even if it's only $20 we pocket from a BINGO round, or a larger gift, every contribution helps us continue rebuilding, restoring, and enhancing the Fairgrounds that future generations can enjoy.
