The Blue Ribbon Foundation created the T.A.G. Team to bring like-minded, Fair-loving individuals together to make the Iowa State Fairgrounds an even better place. It was a simple concept; Together we can Accomplish our Goals. So far, T.A.G. Team members have supported the renovation of restrooms, updated overhead lighting, fixed a building’s exterior, rebuilt doors, updated sound systems and restored Ye Old Mill.
Money raised from the 2026 T.A.G. Team will be used to update Legacy Terrace.
Project Details: Located just south of the Grandstand, Legacy Terrace is a favorite spot for Fairgoers seeking shade, seating, and a moment of calm. This peaceful area plays an important role in preserving the Fairgrounds’ beloved park-like atmosphere.
Created in 2003, Legacy Terrace was designed to add scenic beauty along the Grand Concourse. Now, more than 20 years later, the space is beginning to show its age.
While bench slats have been updated, much of the landscaping and hardscaping remains unchanged. Planned improvements include replacing broken pavers and cracked concrete, along with planting new trees, shrubs, and flowers to rejuvenate the space. Sometimes, the smallest improvements make the biggest difference. These updates will be enjoyed by thousands of Fairgoers who pause here each day during the Fair and throughout the year.
For a $250 donation, only 100 donors will be accepted into this unique group. Your name will be listed as a key player in the
project and you will receive a commemorative pin to denote your membership in the 2026 T.A.G. Team.
